Firewall set up?? Netgear DG834G v3

Hi all, just got a netgear DG834G v3, the problem is i'm not sure how the firewall works, do you have to configure it? i did auto config when installing. Also can i still use zonealarm with this, i read on some site that it's a good idea to use another also.

I've gone through all the instructions and i find it hard to follow, its never easy to me lol

Yeah, the firewall should be enabled by default. If you log in to the web admin (default 192.168.0.1) there is an option on the left called firewall. Click on it and it will show if your firewall is enabled.

Yes, you can use Zonealarm with the Netgear as the Netgear is a hardware firewall. When people say don't use 2, they mean don't use 2 software based firewalls on the same machine.
