Which router for ADSL Bandwidth Management

[link to this post]

Hi all,

Are there any routers that can be recommended that will allow me to throttle the incoming and outgoing traffic on my LAN to the internet?

I have foreign students staying with me and i want to restrict their bandwidth to something more like dialup so that they cannot abuse my connection and incur charges, just provide them access to email and MSN.

To do this i want a router which allows me to limit their bandwidth but so far i seem to come across routers that will only limit outbound traffic but i would prefer this both ways.

Any ideas?

Nat.

"billion 740x series has bandwidth limiting per connection so each user can only get say 25k or 50k or 100k max as set in the interface"

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

Are your kids pirates ? Limewire, Bearshare, Kazaa, BitTorrent, eMule are all tools of the trade.
