I am looking to go to full llu with Vivaciti or Xilo, and have been told that my (nearly new) belkin F5D8636-4 is not the best for ADSL 2+.
It has been sugested (by Xilo) that Thompson Speed Touch are good, but is this the case? & if so which model? also can anybody recommend a good supplier?

We recommend them as we see less problems with them than any other router... the Belkin's though, do cause problems.

But as yet you do not supply an N router so would a speedtouch still do a good job? (I need it to be N for video streaming to my PS3.
PS Matt do you ever take a break? (or sleep?)

Can you recheck your figures ...

Downstream power of 126 dBM and upstream at 199 dBm are extremely high. In fact millions of times higher than normal!

126 dBm would be 3.98 GW and 199 dBm 79433 TW (79.433 PW)

I would expect to see downstream at a maximum of 20 dBm and upstream at 12 dBm

Definitely a case of the Belkin mis-reporting.

A nuclear power station produces about 2 GW , so how many are you hiding in your garden?

Hi, use the Belkin router you have and see how it performs. Belkin routers have not been brilliant in the past, but they might be improving.

I'd take those reviews with a pinch of salt. They are not real world reviews and may have not allowed them to be fully tested as you would at home.
