i have a netgear dg834g v3 and i want to change my snr back to 6 , i know there is a program to do this but for the life of me i can not remember, can some kind person please provide a link. many thanks
You can tweak SNR with DMT although values are not always saved after reboots, there is also alternative firmware for Netgear which allows the SNR to be tweaked along with many other things, see the DGTeam website.

Depending on your ISP you can request that they manually change the SNR. If the line remains constant without any dropouts then then chances of getting the SNR reduced are pretty high. Depening on the current SNR most providers can reduce it in 3db stages. Getting them to do this for you could be a problem though.
