Wireless access point repeater and ethernet port

[link to this post]

Hi guys,

I am looking for a piece of hardware that I don't know exists or not. I would like a wifi repeater to connect via wifi to my Belkin ADSL router as coverage is a bit patchy when I go to one of our outbuildings at home and also be able to plug an ethernet cordless phone (for skype) into it too as I don't want the base unit of the phone to be downstairs with the router.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Mark

I believe that something like this does what you want. Have a read of the manuals to check it out.

"Thru the mains" networking is probably cheaper and certainly more reliable and easier to use.

I value my amateur radio hobby too much to EVER put one of those HORRIBLE pieces of equipment anywhere near my house!!!! That's not shouting at you guys by the way, it's just that so many radio amateurs and shortwave listeners have been forced to give up there hobby or just be forced to operate away from their homes by terrible interference issues caused by PLT (Power Line Transmission).

I will have a look at the other item posted however I'm told there is a Belkin unit that is used for gaming that might be good for me as well, can't remember the name at this time of 'night'

Cheers
