Wireless help?

[link to this post]

I have a bebox modem/router Thomson TG585V7

a few days ago the box went crazy and my flat mate ended up restoring it to factory setting, with a little help from o2 support we got the internet back up and running.

The problem comes with wireless, the connection is VERY slow (1 or 2 Mbps)and cuts out like every 4/5mins

Ive read that a firmware update can help with problems like this but this router is locked???

how can I get the wireless working again?

BTW before the restore the wireless worked fine.

any ideas what I could do?

I'd talk to BE support (why did you talk to O2 if it's a BEBox? I know they are essentially the same company, but surely BE technical support are the people to talk to.). I've never had to use them but by all accounts they are extremely good. They should be able to telnet into your box if necessary to look at the problem.

Change wireless channel. You almost certainly had a non-default one before.
