Hi,
I ordered some reels of CAT6 cable yesterday. I went with the cat6 as it only worked out about an extra £2 or so.
Anyway, my question is this.
When I get the rj45 connectors, i realise that the outside is going to have the same dimensions, but are there any physical differences in connectors designated for cat5e cabling and cat6 cabling
Tools for crimping and dealing with putting the cables and connectors togeher; are there specific ones for cat 6 or will cat5 tools do the job just as well.
I'm looking forward to doing this. I will be doing loft insulation ovre xmas and decided it would be a good idea to at least get some holes drilled whilst im up there.
