If anybody has a Buffalo WHR-G300N (V1 not V2 and not the HP- version) do they see any reference is the setup for Firmware Version 1.60 or 1.65 (the latest) to Wireless N Mode or only to G.
Just taken delivery of refurbished model (from BroadbandBuyer) and using it as a Access Point in distant part of house(connected via PowerlIne adaptors) to supplement a Linksys WAG200G Wireless G main router. Works fine but in the web accessed setup does not refer to Wireless N (says it is N on box and in the specification) only refers to Wireless G. Most of the devices that connect to it show it as Wireless G (even though the two laptops have Wireless N adaptors). However one laptop has the Intel Wireless chip and the Intel widget that shows the properties for the network shows correctly 2 access points (against the Linksys it shows G and against the Buffalo it shows G and N).
Does anybody have a WHR-G300N and if so
1. Do they see any reference to Wireless N in the setup/configuration?
2. Is it acting as Wireless N in this is what connected devices show or do they just show G.
thanks
