3 MIFI with a router

I would like to use my "3mobile" E5830 modem with a wireless router.
Cant find anything of the 3 support site. I will be using it with a Belkin
UK 54G router. Also the 3 modem only has a mini usb connector on
it so I'm not sure if you can buy converters to cat5 type socket.
Some brainy person out there knows how to do all this - hope you see
my post!

USB to RJ45 converter? Unlikely as the protocols are totally different.

You need to look for a different router - one which is designed to provide back up over a 3G
For example: the Draytek 3200n is designed with a USB socket to allow connection of a 3.5G dongle (not 3G).

You can get usb to ethernet converters to plug into PCs. I can't see there been anything similar to plug into a phone as they are unlikely to have the processing power or specially written drivers needed to make it work.
