Confused about security for my network ...?

I've bought one of these & got it up & running quickly:

However I'm used to just using a single WiFi network security level e.g. WPA2.

I've never used ethernet before - just wifi.

This system talks of WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) & dLAN security - so I'm a bit confused.

If I start using ethernet now, do I need to setup this dLAN security ?

Do I need also to use WPS ? Does this affect wireless devices that don't have WPS button / WPS capability ?

dLAN security is such that if you are in a shared property you can set the security up so that someone with another DLAN device cannot just plug it in and connect.

In short if its your own property then no need to worry about it.

Just plug the ethernet cable in and go.

And what about WPS - do I "need" this or will WPA2 on my network suffice ?

WPS is all about making setting up the WPA2 easier, i.e. is not adding more security.

WPA2 with a key that someone is unlikely to guess is fine.
