Getting FTTC need advice on USB Adapter or Wi-fi access.

So i'll be getting FTTC soon but my Desktop PC is 2 rooms away through thin walls. Data Extension won't be viable.

So i'm asking which is better for 40mbps wi-fi a Wi-fi N USB Adapter (not sure on USB's bandwidth)
Or a Wi-Fi N Access Point (it has to connect wirelesssly to the router - repeater?)

And any recomendations for either.

I would buy a pair of homeplugs compliant to the HomePlug AV 200Mbps standard or 500Mbps variant for a reliable connection to your desktop. On the other hand, you could go for an 802.11n client bridge whhich connects to the desktop using its Ethernet socket. Some access points and "range extenders" offer a client-bridge functionality - it pays to check on the manufacturer's Website.
