Netgear N-150 DGN1000 router.
Runs absoloutely fine for basic surfing.
Attempt to download large files , lasts anything from 30secs to 5mins , and then just randomly disconnects itself from the net. Reboot required in order to re-establish connections and try again.
Any thoughts?

Is it wired to the computer or is the connection wireless

Wireless
When the connection falls over , the router itself stays online, can log into the admin control panel and reset it, theres just no internet connection.
Im not sure whether its a problem with the default settings, or this particular router just cant handle anything resembling a high speed download.

What are you defining as high speed download?
If it a single thread HTTP download? Or torrents or using a file manager

The specific is patching World of Warcraft , so its using a P2P network to download.
Speed gets up to around 1.7mb , then just completely falls over. No warning, just drops itself.

In which case possibly the number of simultaneous connections that is the issue, and this fills the NAT table faster than the router can cope.
No idea what options they are for controlling this in WoW.

It does give the option to download without utilising the P2P network aspects, so I will give that a try and see how it goes.

tested
Switched off the P2P support for the download, single source for download , still falls over. Lasted around 15 seconds once the download speed topped 0.5mb.

Does it behave if you download a single file from http://www.thinkbroadband.com/download.html

Seems no problem at all with those downloads.
