I've got a bit of a problem with my home network.
Downstairs I have a Netgear DGN2000 on ip address 192.168.1.1. DHCP port range is 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.60.
Upstairs fed by CAT5 from downstairs I have a 10/100 32 port Dlink switch.
Leading from the dlink I have CAT5 going to a Netgear WNR2000 which is setup as a WAP, internet port, SSID broadcast, DHCP, Firewall are all disabled. IP address of the WAP is 192.168.1.59.
My iphone works fine on the WNR. It is assigned an IP by the DGN and all is well.
My laptop running on Windows 7 on the other hand does not like it. It connects, gets an IP address and says it is connected to the internet but there is no throughput. I get page cannot be displayed on all web pages.
I have tried assigning a static IP outside of the DHCP range and it does not like this also.
