Has anyone used Homeplugs with FTTC services yet>

Doing that basic maths I think we have the following

HP Speed / HP Mxx Speed / 60% capacity of Powerline throughput
85 / 10.625 / 6.375
200 / 25 / 15
500 / 62.5 / 37.5
1000 / 125 / 75

Thus if I get a 40/10 FTTC line I would need to use 500 AV2 Powerline devices to get the maximum throughput. If I get 80/10 FTTC I would need the specialist 1000 Home plug devices.

What is that HP Mxx figure?

Using your 60% figure a set of 200Mbps devices would be sufficient for an 80/10 service.

Depends on things and wire length and quality being main ones I guess, We are in a small 2 betroomm flat so resonable short ring mains and I have some cheap 200mbs ones from amazon. runs the 40/10 service which I get that speed at the BT hub and also at the 2nd homeplug so I get away with 200mbs but read here other take a spped drop so maybe 500mbs will be a safer bet. I read andrews link to the article, good reading but home wiring is part of it, might work for some homes and not others I guess like wireless speeds to a distance. Where it is makes a difference.

If on same ring main then proberly better than going back to the fusebox and off on another ring so a differnent fuse ( or resetable one) in the box, mine is the same ring and does ok.

should have known better. Now you point it out I remember this from about 6 weeks ago, looking around the site.

Looks like I will keep the AV200 ones I have for now and see what I get with these around the house once FTTC is installed.
