Cable testers ?

What value is there in getting a cable tester to test a new cable once in place during an install? It'll probably be approx 10-15m long . Any reason not to go with one fo the cheap Draper ones ?

Not really ...

Any fault will show up when you try the cable the first time ... If you are installing a large number then yes, but for a single one don't bother.
