Huawei HG612 in Bridge Mode (ADSL2+ & Annex M)

Hello,

Once unlocked can this modem be used in 'bridge mode' (with ADSL2+ ISP's - specifically Be* and IDNet ) connected to a wireless router?

Looks like it supports EoA and LLC, which should work for BE. I think IDNet is standard PPPoA which will be fine.

It'll work, but I never managed to establish an Annex M connection (even though it is apparently supported).

On my O2 Pro service, it would sync @ ~1.3/20Mbps.
I quickly reverted to my Zyxel P-660R-D1 which would sync @ ~2.5/17Mbps.

You may have better luck.

I can't find any reference to Annex M in the settings.

I think i might get myself a Huawei HG612 off Ebay.

Although it does look rather tricky to setup from what i have read.

Quick question.. Is it possible to tweak the SNR for ADSL2+ with the HG612?

I think there is a tweak for it, RS-UX/RSW has one - but you can't do it on BT DLM systems as it's against the rules.

Are you able to confirm? or can someone else confirm it can be done?

What is RS-UX/RSW?

I wasn't aware of this, thanks for the heads up. I'm not currently on BT's DLM system but good to know.
