Just wondering if i should get homeplug for my computer since i am using wireless adapter to connect from EE boardband

What problems are you having with wireless then?

well, im okay with the wireless but bit lagging when i play online game sometime

First thing is to first try with a temporary ethernet cable to ensure that the lag is not down to connection/game server before you go spending money to solve the problem.

If Ethernet is a lot better, then homeplug should be better than wireless, AV200 units are OK if you using ADSL2+, but in FTTC (Fibre) then AV500 units to get the best speeds really.

If you are on an up to 16 or up to 20 or up to 24 Meg package with EE you are on their ADSL2+ range.
Confirmed by only having a Brightbox to connect to the phone line.

If you are on an up to 40 or up to 80 product you are on their fibre product.
Confirmed by having a white Openreach modem and a Bright box connected to the phone line.

@ MrSaffron - do you get good latency from decent PA's..? I have a pair of comtrends with excellent signal and they add about 8ms too latency with it spiking to 20-40ms (sometimes more) extra every few seconds when I run HR Ping...I was wondering if it was just because they are rubbish lol... when I use wifi the Ping is only about 1ms or less more than Ethernet (I understand everyones wifi signal/interference is different) - I got them off a friend for free as he said they were no good for online gaming as his son couldnt play Xbox live with them on..but could on wifi..

The devolo av500 units added around 2ms average (the ping times was 1 a second for 10 minutes).
So yes Ethernet is best, but the devolo units are better than wireless.

The possibility of interference means that there can be variations down to your home wiring.

Your EE Bright Box router will tell you what ADSL operation mode it is connected.

Go� Advanced Set-Up > Accept > System > ADSL Status.
