Traffic monitoring on BT HomeHub 5

I have unusual uploaded traffic size (1GB+ in 1hr!).

I want to watch this precisely to find out whats going on.. My old modems always had SNMP support so a free traffic monitoring tools can be used easily and with precision.

How would you monitor up/dn traffic on HH5 in real-time?

(It seems that the large upstream somehow related to watching Netflix on the smart TV, however I cant imagine why Netflix will use any of upstream traffic, could be a virus on the Android OS on the TV ? someone is mining bitcoins or using it as a peer in some hacker P2P network?)

this is line monitoring rather. nothing to do with traffic. I need to see real-time traffic (data not speed).

It only monitors the traffic from a specific PC but you can turn all others off?

There is no much you need for a pc. Its easy. Perhaps your phone too. But how would you measure xbox or smart tv? I have at least 7 heterogenious devices connected.

And i want to start from the root of the evil the router..

So i really appreciate you guys trying to help but what i really need is to how to hook up an snmp monitor.

If the HH5 doesnt support snmp then thsts just it.. Too bad.. Any idea why it doesnt?

Or may be it still buried somewhere? Can it be unburied/hacked?

Simples! Not many consumer routers do. Makes it more costly.

I never had one which doesnt in past 8 yrs. All costed less than 50 quid.

Just replace the HH5 with one of your choosing.

I am going to plug my old one in and use for router and the HH for modem.. Simples

If only the HH5 was a modem... but it's not. You can put your router in the DMZ of the HH5 and that will be almost the same.
