I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but,
I have an Airport Extreme 5th Generation Base Station and want to mount it on the wall without paying the £40 for a wall Mount.
I was wondering if anyone on here has done it them selves and could tell me what they used, how and where I could get required materials.
A price would also be appreciated.

I haven't actually tried this, but my first thought would be to pop into the local haberdashery and get a bit of self-adhesive Velcro

I was thinking that myself, I was looking at theme picture hanging strips that stretch off the wall without leaving any marks.
But wanted something that would support it more.

You can get mounting kits for a lot less than 40 quid- eg a tenner from Amazon.
It doesn't mention the Extreme but I think they're all the same size, it's also self-adhesive but I'm sure it could be screw-mounted if you preferred that.

No I have one of them for my Airport Express its about a 3rd of the size of the AIriport Extreme.
I have just brought some of these anyway to try out but still on the lookout for something decent..... Its a shame really I paid about £3 for my airport express mount from Seoul on ebay.
But can't find anything for AE.

No I have one of them for my Airport Express its about a 3rd of the size of the AIriport Extreme. So I've just discovered, I didn't realise that the new ones were so different

They will start getting smaller again soon I'm sure.

Maybe they don't appear to have changed the innards, and they still won't handle native IPv6.
For the facilities they provide they're over-priced even by Apple standards imo. But what they do, they do well- I used to have one of the earlier versions.

well I got both my Airport Express and Extreme at a significantly reduced price and agree they aren't worth the money but I like using the Airport Utility instead of the web gui,
I think it makes them more secure too, Also using the airport express to extend to the garage and front of the house will not expose the main networks computers if I enable a guest network due to it working with the main base stations DHCP and guest network reservation though I'm yet to test this.
Also there good looking and built a lot better than most router.

Also there good looking and built a lot better than most router. I wouldn't argue with that, but I like a bit more configurability. And at the time I bought it, my Asus wasn't much cheaper than the AEX.
If it does what you want it to do, that's fine by me

I also agree there too and a few months ago I would of said the same but now I've closed my business down there's not much required but stability and reliability and stress free setup..
That's the apple way..

Just to update I received these this morning and have now used them to stick the AEBS up on the wall, I hope they hold as well as they say they do.
