plug in range extender recommendations? :: Home Networking, Internet Connection Sharing, etc.

Following the demise of my Billion 7800N I replaced it with a D-Link modem and Belkin router.

I'm finding though that the wireless is quite a bit weaker.

Was looking at a Netgear range extender such as a NETGEAR WN3000RP-100UKS that I can plug in to a socket in the hallway which is in the centre of the house.

Anyone any opinion on these?
