Bright Box 2 modem mode

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty unhappy with brightbox's poor router performance, when there's a lot of devices connected through wifi it doesn't seem to manage well and I get loads of lag spikes when online gaming (I'm connected to gigabit lan port), even though those wireless devices aren't doing anything extensive.

I'm planning on getting an Asus RT AC68U and use BB2 as a modem. Does anyone know if this is possible? Is it a case of connecting the Asus to BB2 on the gigabit port and disabling all router functions? Such as, dhcp, nat, qos, wireless, firewall etc?
