Super fast broadband router recommends?

Hi all,
(hopefully I'm posting in this in the right group, apologies if not!)

We are with Utilities Warehouse for our ultra broadband which, I'm guessing is fibre fttc?

Good download speeds of 35+Mbps

However, the kit is a bit flakey. We have:
1) Openreach box (B-FOCUS V2Fub?), connected to master socket
2) Technicolor box TG582n Pro (which plugs into the above)


As a general rule, I don't like having two boxes when one might be better - any recommends? I don't find the wifi great on the technicolor so improving that would be great as well.

The ones normally mentioned on here are Asus, TPLink and Billion. I use a Billion 8800AXL (although the 8800NL is cheaper just without the AC wireless). The Billion works well for me (although I'm not convinced it's G.INP implementation is quite right).

I believe others here use both of the other makes of devices.

If you want the very best all-in-one box then go for the recentlly released Netgear D7800 VDSL router. Granted it aint cheap (270 notes) but the Mu-Mimo wifi on this beast will knock your socks off. I know this because I've got the Linksys EA8500 which uses the same Qualcomm wifi chipsets as the D7800 but without the VDSL modem and the EA8500 is the best router i've ever used for wifi coverage & speeds.
