two issues with ZTE H298N

I'm having issues with port forwarding. I had it working and all of a sudden it stopped working.

My second issue is with wireless.
I'm using a ASUS PCE-AC56 and get around 25 down and 50 up. Why is my upload double the speed of my download? Is 50 the max I can get out of the ZTE H298N? I would rather not have to buy a new router unless it is necessary. I was happy with my past Virgin and BT hubs with wireless AC.
