cable routing and powerlines

I am having some building work done next month and plan to run some network cable. At one point the option is to follow the route of the aerial coax cable. I suspect however for around 2 meters this is the same route as the ring mains cable. Would this be a waste of time or would a higher spec cable offset any losses.

The aerial coax should not cause any issues. However, running close to a power cable may cause problems if there is a high level of noise. In most cases it should be fine and problem free although occasional spikes such as when a pump or compressor turns on may cause a momentary burst of errors.. If you can run it 100 to 150mm away it would.be better. Is screened cable worth it? Maybe, maybe not!

I have one location here where there is a real birds nest - power, lighting, network, phone, alarm and I am slowly sorting it. Does it cause any issues? None that I am aware of.
