Internet connection drops when making/receiving phone call

I have an ongoing issue where when making or receiving a landline phone call the internet connection is dropped for about 3-5 minutes then reconnects even though the phone call continues. I have a TP Archer VR900 router which has the latest Firmware and Software installed and our download speed is around 74Mbs and upload speed around 17 Mbs. I have replaced the face plate of the socket and also checked with the direct test connection on the socket, which is the latest version.
The house is only 6 years old and while this is not a major issue it can sometimes be annoying if the phone rings while we are doing something on the internet.
Just wondered if anyone has a similar issue or has resolved this issue.

The replaced faceplate is that one with a filter built in? And where is the phone plugged in? i.e. trying to check that the phone is actually filtered

If the issue is causing drops then it should be visible in the VR900 stats i.e. connection speed, attenuation, noise margin when you dial the landline

Dodgy joints (High Resistance fault) can cause this problem.

I have this problem too. Bit annoying! Especially when it�s a sales/ppi/microsoft scam phone call.

Had many engineers out, plus replaced the home hub, replaced all the filters, replaced the master socket, none of it fixed the issue.

Suspect it�s the cabling back to the cabinet, dodgy and/or wet joints.

I�m guessing you are ADSL .....

most likely cause would be an HR fault on your line. Report the fault to your ISP.

Oh yeah, well spotted. Could still be an HR fault though.
