FON

Is t just me or has FON stopped working on BT

just tried it and it is working on my HH3.

There was something odd the other day, I connected to a BT-FON wifi, but it had no option to log on with FON. I'll go out and try nabours.
p.s. Just checked with 'long range' antenna and cannot find my nabours BT-FON, just BT-WIFI.

BT appear to have ended their agreement with FON so it looks like the fonera is now redundant. No sign of any announcement though.

Hmm, my fon box bricked itself years ago and then they discontinued that model anyway. I couldn't find any supported new models to continue my access so lost my membership. I'm impressed some people have managed to keep it.

For any one else in the same position I have taken a sim only deal with bt mobile which gives me access to the bt wifi hotspots

It is all BT WiFi now so you can use that instead. It appears all the BT Hubs now come with it turned on as a default. Not sure FON still exists.

That is still going? I remember that from years ago and it was a total waste of time then, I expect it even worse now.

After going around in circles I eventually reached a page which said "Fon account holders create new BT account" but clicking on the button got me nowhere. Will look into it another day.

Today was in an area which last year had a couple of BT-FON WiFi, today couple of secured BT and one open BT but no option for FON login.
