Network switch LAN IP address

[link to this post]

I have a TP Link TL-FS1008P switch connected to my Sky hub. When I login to the Sky hub I can't see the switch as a connected device, has the switch got an IP address on the network or not? If not is there any other way I can log into the switch?

TIA

It claims to be an "unmanaged switch" so won't have anything to log into. You would need a managed switch to have configuration settings.

Assuming your FS is the same as the SF I found by search, it even says "unmanaged" in the URL:

Thanks for the quick answer - I suspected as much - basically what I am trying to configure (or at least find some kind of settings for) are the power settings for the PoE ports (that's assuming that there are some settings of sorts)

It's related to this problem which I'm having here:

My assumption from reading that web page is this is a very entry level switch with PoE and without a webpage for management you won’t be getting any info on the PoE.

I suspect you need a different switch to do the diagnostics.

I'm pretty sure you're right - all I wanted to do was change one of the PoE ports from active to passive PoE but unfortunately this doesn't seem to be an option with this switch
