TP-Link Archer AX20 - AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router

[link to this post]

Hi,

at my sisters house they have Virgin Media with a Hub 3 and have always complained about poor connectivity and Wifi.

So as the family "IT guy" I was asked for a solution.

I installed a TP-Link Archer AX20 - AX1800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router to the Hub3 in Modem mode, replicated the Hub3 SSID and password and all is good. I used initially TPlink powerline plugs to reach the back of the house upstairs but they would not play ball , with slow speeds so we sent them back and ordered another AX20 and some LAN Cable.

I set this second AX20 as an access point upstairs and ran some cables to two PCs. All working OK,200Mb download at PCs and on Wifi, rather that 10 to 20. I switched on OneMesh, the TP link Mesh solution everything is fine.

However after about a week, 'the internet stopped' , I rebooted the modem and the router, all OK again, but the router could not find another Mesh device ie the AX20 as an Access Point, has anyone else lost the OneMesh facility on TP link routers ?

Thanks in Advance
