BT Duct termination cap

[link to this post]

Good day everyone.

I have recently had some BT ductwork installed but missed the pipe termination cap as shown in this image

Does anyone know the name of this part or even better where I can order one?

Many thanks
Declan

That's a connector bend number 4 (aka an elephant foot), with a cover 101A on top.

I had to replace both of these recently as the engineer who installed my FTTP took both of mine with him.

Just Google "BT cover 101A".
I purchased mine from Mills but have also used Comtecdirect loads in the past.

You will likely find the shipping costs are much more than the cover costs.

Like my order here.

I recently ordered one from OPT Services as well as some capping. Delivery was about £4+VAT iirc.

See, I always thought they were called a connector bend no.4 ….. but someone was insistent that they were called 101 …….. just shows, you cannot trust those higher ranks some times ๐Ÿคจ

You're definitely right.
The large bottom part is definitely called a 'Connector Bend no. 4' (aka an Elephants foot).
I've known that was its name for sometime.

It was the top cover I was unsure what it was called until I had to order 1 recently.
That part is a 'Cover 101A' which is probably where the other person's confusion came from.

Are they something the average engineer has in their van?
Can you think of a reason why my engineer took mine, apart from the fact it was a bit fiddly to put back on?
