Fiber Router

[link to this post]

Hello All

A few weeks ago, I had Hey!Broadband Installed. After a few issues everything is fine and some good speeds DL 950+ / UL 875+.

As for Networking, the Router is in the Kitchin atm, as this was the closes to an outside wall. When the Router was installed, I ask the guys can I have some extra "length" so I can place the router elsewhere.

So.. I was given 5m and 20m SC/APC patch leads. I don't really want to send ethernet cable around the house. So, I will be using the fiber patch leads from the Box to the new location in the front room (where I can use the router as a Hub as well.

So NO hard bends in this cable..!

then once in the place of the old Virgin Router (Hub4) I can plug all the goodies in.. NAS, Hive, etc..

Just letting people know to get a 3mm SC/APC cable or what ever instead of 1x router then a 1x Hub in the next room or where ever placed..

Regards
M
