I thought I had seen the back of broadband routers and long ADSL cables when I got a Huawei 4G internet Router. However, because of the IP address not being fixed I am now considering joining Shell Energy broadband.
One of the things I can't stand with broadband routers is that the ADSL cable has to go all the way from my cupboard in the hallway, then along the hallway, before going right across my front room to reach the router. I ended up doing this because the master socket is in the hallway cupboard and seemed to be the most reliable connection in years gone by.
Anyway, my question is whether there is a wireless alternative to a long ADSL cable. If there is an alternative are they secure and are there any issues with the speed of the connection slowing down without a cable?
