OCD Panels

[link to this post]

How often do you see a rack - all nicely filled with patch panels, routers, switches &c where someone has even taken the care to use the same screws and cup washers on each, only for it to be spoilt by a cheap non-matching in-fill panel!

Ubiquiti now have, in their early access section OCD Panels that are finished exactly te same way are the rest of their hardware.

And actually having vented and brushed too !

Whilst on racks - whay are there som many different screw sizes - M6, M5, M4, 10-32, 8-24 Just a real nuisance finding the pre-fitted cage nuts are different to the screws supplied.

Standards are wonderful things, that's why we have so many of them wink

Please tell me that OCD is just some initialism I've not encountered in my twenty odd years of working in IT, and not that Ubiquiti's marketing department thinks it's acceptable to poke fun at a mental health condition.

It's the latter. It bugs me a bit when people flippantly talk about having OCD when they're talking about having a tidy desk or making sure they're putting something level on the wall.
