Router with 4 GigE ports, gig WAN port and DECT support?

[link to this post]

I'm currently using a FritzBox 7530 which is great but due to the number of devices that need a wired link I've had to add a Netgear unmanaged 5 port desktop switch as I lose one of the ports on the router as it's used as a WAN link to the ONT, I'd really like to dispense with the switch if I can to tidy up the setup.

Also going to be switching to Digital voice next year so would be great if it had a DECT base too

Only routers I can see with this seem to be BT's own and the Fritz, anyone know of others?

Here's what I've got connected:

Synology NAS
Hive hub for heating ansd smart bulb control
My desktop system
Work laptop.

Virgin (ADSL) => Namesco => Newnet => O2 => Plusnet => Zen => Newnet => Zen => Freeola => Vivaciti (using O2 Wholesale DSL) => Xilo (C&W Wholesale) => Xilo (O2 Wholesale) => Xilo (TT Wholesale due to O2 Wholesale closure) => Zen LLU =>> ZeN FTTP (Openreach 300 Mbps down, 47 Mbps up)
Router: Fritzbox 7530

Note: I don't lay turf for anyone. astro or otherwise, all views and opinions expressed are my own based on experience.

Using something like a Gigaset N300 DECT hase station of a Cisco ATA 191 which has two FSX ports could be an easier option as they will work with many internet connections.

Depends how sophisticated you want to go: for example the Mikrotik RB4011 has 10 x gig ethernet ports and 1 x SFP+. The base model doesn't have wireless, but the catchily-named RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN does.

Personally, I think you're better off as you are. You can place the switch within a cluster of wired devices, to reduce wiring clutter. If the router is ISP-provided then it helps with support problems to be using the router they provide. And if it's not, but is just a router that you know and like, then you get to continue using it.

Yes personably I prefer the "separate switch + router + separate WiFi" config. myself, as it gives modularity and flexibility. Can easily swap things in and out. Upgrade or change at will.

Although it's horses for courses and I can understand why folks want to get an "all-in-one" solution that meets their needs.
