TP-Link Deco X50 AX3000

[link to this post]

Has anyone any experience of using the TP-Link Deco X50 AX3000 mesh devices?

I expect one would be installed by the ONT, one about 8 metres away through a wooden floor, one about 8 metres away through a stud wall, and one about 25 metres from that over open air to a double-walled wooden structure.

Can't help with the TP-Link but cross posting is against the rules of this board. If you must post in more than 1 area then you should only create a link to a single post rather than multiple posts.

For others info the other post is here. Suggest only responding to that one to keep a single forum thread.

For further info the site rules state
Cross Posting
We do not allow 'cross posting' where a user posts the same text in more than one forum. This wastes resources as forum users have to read posts twice. It is possible for a post to be relevant to more than one forum, but you should only post it in another if you have no success in the first.

They are now two different questions, one general the other specific, aimed at different audiences. The idea that people read multiple forums is, in my experience, faulty.

I have seen some videos about the TP-link decos and going by them then it depends on things, like what is in the walls and stuff like that.
8 meters is a fair distance to be honest, should be okay through a wooden floor.

The only thing you can do is get it from somewhere that allow returns, try and see. I was thinking of getting some Decos, but decided to get a Tp link ArcherAX53 with a mesh system. I only want the mesh to put into the kitchen so I get wi-fi outside in the summer. It may not be required to get a extender as this router has a good signal outside, but we will see closer to the summer.

Maybe have a look at some you tube videos

What confuses me is the AX3000 part, that is what comes up on the config settings of my router and it is on the box. Way to confuse people TP-link

Thx. Depending on decisions over ISP, I would buy from Amazon, to ease any return that might be required.
