FTTC just from BT?

With the announcement of the new FTTC exchanges i was wondering does that mean other ISPs, for example Uno Broadband will be able to provide FTTC broadband on these exchanges when it becomes available from BT. Or will i only be able to get FTTC broadband from BT?

It will be available to all Communications Providers and their ISP's

Saying that... not many of the other ISP's have announced FTTC products as yet.
I am guessing things may change in the next few months.

The FTTC "products" are dictated by BT Openreach (BT PLC)
BT Openreach partly fulfil the role of the ISP in that they control the FTTC DSLAMs and immediate fibre backhaul to the serving exchange - just not the IP/transit.
BT Openreach visit the customer and check their computer works too AFAIK.

So BT Openreach "sell" the wholesale service to BT - and any other CP who chooses to take the service from Openreach. So when you see adverts of "fibre-optic broadband" from BT retail, this is really a service delivered over copper phone lines from street cabinets by BT Openreach.

Some CPs could buy from BT Wholesale and then sell to the customer.
You are ultimately supplied by BT Openreach.

Perhaps one day the telephone exchanges will start to close down, leaving just these BT PLC street cabinets, and all CPs will once again be dependent on BT PLC who will move back towards a monopoly in the access layer.

when they have 60 km range FTTH standardised and running it'll be sooner rather than later.
