Broadband is not Working in My Laptop

Couple of days a go suddenly broadband stop working in my Laptop. It is showing red cross sign right bottom of my laptop on internet icon. Please tell me how can I solve this issue.

First step do other devices you have connect to your broadband connection too?

Second, how was the laptop connecting? If via Wi-Fi then try using an Ethernet cable (usually a yellow lead that came with the broadband router).

Third, have you tried a full restart of the laptop

True, grey/black/white are common, but yellow is the standard sent out with broadband routers for colour co-ordinated sockets on hardware.
