Regards,
Congratulations on using an 03 number! More ISP's need to do this.
On a small note, does someone need to update the website to show the number has changed?

Well done. Your site still shows an 0843 number. I see one of this numbers and run a mile...being the rip-off that they are.
You could be losing business daily!

Thanks for the comments guys.
Problems with the 03 number meant we had to revert back to our original 0843 number. We understand that this isnt ideal in terms of customer service and we are currently trying to resolve the issues with the 03 number.
We are looking at 0800 numbers currently and this would obviously be even better than 03.
In the meantime, any customers who need to speak to us can always drop us an email with their phone number and we would always be happy to call back, if they did not want to use our 0843 number.
Regards,
Invictel.

Not always. If someone is calling from a mobile, they are likely going to be charged for 0800 calls.
03 are included within minutes so would be free. If you're having problems with 03 numbers, why not get a geographic number too?

As Uno points out - mobile users are charged heavily for calls to 0800 numbers, but would have 03 numbers as part of a call package.
It amazes me that companies have so many problems with non-geographical numbers. I used to connect anything up to 100 a day when 0870's started, 03 should be no more difficult, if anything a lot easier. It's all Internet webpage controlled these days.

I left a road-side motor recovery company as they used an 0800 number for the call-out service. They had not thought (duh) that if one is stuck with a car one is likely to be using a mobile and 0800 is therefore charged @ 40 p per min IIRC.

As Invictel have only been trading for a month, One is grateful for the update on the phone number.
I'm sure we are all grateful that invictel have also got the hang of how to trade as a referral agent within the rules on adslguide.

The rate isn't fixed, but set by each provider. I believe that one or two don't charge anything for 0800 numbers but I think they are MVNOs instead of the actual provider.

Cut it out RJ!
Your dislike of the smaller companies (those that are not BT that is) is well known to regular members, but this swipe was totally uncalled for. Nice axe...grind it elsewhere.

We prefer to give the option, best of both so to say, we list both our 0800 number for anyone calling from a land line to be able to make a free call, but if your calling from a mobile, then we also list our geo number as well.

Exactly what we are going to be doing ourselves.
Unfortunately the 03 number just wasnt working...... didnt help that it was provided via VoIP. No point having a number that doesnt work on a commercial level, no matter how good 03 numbers are in the eyes of the consumer.
So its an 0800 number and a Geo number for us, just awaiting connections.
On a related note, I was surprised by the amount of people who said "oh, an 03 number, isnt that premium rate?"

No problem. Always happy to help.
After being chastised by the Mod and broadband expert, SadOldMan, I would like to make clear that although referral agent Invictel was incorporated on the very same day that Invictel registered on the AG forums some tens of days ago, I am in no way suggesting that invictel are using AG as a marketing channel as that would be against the rules.
I am sure by posting their phone number the many thousands of invictel customers that use AG will be grateful as am I for the update and would like to make clear that this is clearly in no way a marketing exercise.

I think you should realise that Cut it out RJ! does not mean "carry on as before and add a few embellishments."
Take a little while to think about it.

It's getting boring now RJ.
Yes; BT are great, but it doesn't mean they need their staff (or anyone) to pick holes in as many smaller ISPs as possible.
Surely BT can survive without your help?

I'm not sure what you have against us, seeing as we have never had a conversation on here before.
Someone asked us before about how we can have customers whilst being a new company. Its simple really, a lot of word of mouth recommendations amongst friends of friends of friends and alot of local marketing campaigns. Before our website was developed, we were taking general orders via telephone on our geo 01227 number.
If you wish to see exactly how well we have been doing, you will be able to purchase our accounts from Companies House as and when they get filed.
But thankyou for your input.

He works for BT? Well, that does explain a lot.
If I worked for BT, personally I would be ashamed.

Thankyou to a member on TBB who pointed us in the direction of a much better telephone provider.
We now have 2 different telephone numbers and have taken on board various bits of feedback offered by some of the members here.
We have a new 03 number, 03300 10 11 12
We also decided to go with a Geo number as well, 01227 689168
The above 2 numbers have replaced our old 0843 number and our lines continue to remain open 24/7
Thankyou,
Invictel.

Not sure if that is really relevant at all, but we have nothing to hide none the less.
We have 3 employees, 4 including myself as company director.
Everything company wise is done in-house by myself such as web design and stuff, so we dont have anything outsourced. We use Enta as our core supplier at present, with current negotiations with Daisy.
Anything else you wish to know? Like I said, we have nothing to hide.

Thankyou Bill, and thanks to all the TBB moderators. You've been very good to us, unlike a few of the posters here who seem not to like us - heaven knows why, we haven't had any commercial dealings with them.
Maybe the one or two posters who have not been too friendly with us would like a free month of broadband on the house? Maybe that way they can see that we really arent that bad at all. Not that we are "touting", I just dont see what else we can do to make the minority not hate us so much

I have had a very satisfying day at work. A couple of mothers and some older patients who were s*it scared of treatment are now my best easy-to-treat patients. A couple of weeks ago, I had a failure...I ain't losing sleep over that one with such a high success rate. IMHO, that is the way to progress and ignore your detractors.
Good luck with your venture.

What I find remarkable is that these comments are made by someone who I am assuming is not a customer of ours.
How can someone make judgements without first taking service from our company?

But they weren't talking about your company. One made a comment about Daisy, with whom you are negotiating, and the other had a go at him for other reasons .
Maybe you need to know if the statement about Daisy has any wider implications than the individual's averred experience of them.
