4OD & itvplayer problem on Vivaciti

I'm with Vivaciti and am unable to watch 4OD or ITVPlayer, they say I'm outside of the uk.

Vivaciti say my IP is listed as UK in the RIPE database, which it is, and to check my router and pc to make sure I'm using a proxy or VPN. I'm not.

Anyone know of anything I can do to solve this?

Sounds like the TV people need to update their database, so it has the latest RIPE lists. Have you reported this to them?

They just blame the ISP

They may need to make sure it is updated with Quova, who I believe 4OD use as their lookup source.

Thanks, I'll put that in the support ticket.

My ps3 will go on 4OD and play the vids no problem, as will all the pc's when i use http://ps3.channel4.com/ I'm guessing this isn't IP geo checked.

The quality of the ps3 site is rubbish though.

I'm not sure, as I suspect it would still be seen via the same IP.

Could be a proxy issue on the 4OD end.

Go to http://www.quova.com/what/request-ip-update/ and see where Quova think your IP is located; and change it if it's not correct (country should be GB (not UK)).

Seems the 4OD player now likes my IP address, I emailed Channel 4, all they said was that my ip was listed as a business IP.

The itvplayer still not playing ball and no reply from them.
