MTU on Xilo

On my welcome letter I was informed that my MTU should be set to 1432.

After googling it appears this is the recommended MTU for the TalkTalk network but I can't find any up to date information.

Is this still correct?

Higher ones will/may work, but we give 1432 as a safe value smile

I have 1492 working at home without issues.

Is the method to simply set router to 1500 then "ping -l xxxx -f" until they fragment?
