Hi,
TalkTalk have just enabled their LLU on my exchange (no other LLU and 21CN WBC has an RFS date of end 08/12) so i'm thinking of changing from Zen ADSL Max to a ADSL2+ product from Talk Talk.
However I am reluctant to go with Talk Talk directly after seeing alot of bad feedback on their customer service and being with Zen their customer service is 2nd to none (pretty much) and plus having a 1 month contract.
So that leaves me going for a reseller of Talk Talk.
Now who to go for.
I want no traffic shaping, no slow down day or night, decent pings, 1 month contract. I am not after a large amount of monthly download, only 20-30Gb required (all up or on peak only).
Choices are Aquiss, Xilo, ADSL24, Vivaciti....probably more but any recommendations from actual users of these on TT LLU?

Are you looking for full LLU (MF) or partial SMPF)? as that can make a difference.

Full LLU means the phone line and the broadband are taken over, partial means just the broadband.

To be honest i'm not bothered as i have Zen for phone and broadband currently. Their phone charges arent the cheapest though so changing wont matter to me.

Xilo seems like a decent package.
All that i require it seems and includes line rental at £26.54 on the Talk Surf Pro 50Gb.
Aquiss has no line rental included for similar money and neither does Vivaciti (though i'm finding Vivaciti website a little confusing on choosing the right product!).

The checker is not looking at TT/Opal ADSL2+ but rather our other suppliers such as C&W and BE - hence why that's not showing you availability

I have been on Xilo Talk Surf 50 for over a year. The connection has been stable almost all of the time. Support has been second to none when I had internal wiring problems.
Cost of phone calls is also very inexpensive compared to others. I do not have Pro and to be honest, I don't see any need for it and talk surf is a few pounds cheaper.
Prior to moving to LLU, my sync speeds were all over the place due to frequent re-syncs and BT profiling. It is now a rare occurence for my modem to re-sync.
On Xilo/TalkTalk LLU, the ISP can manually set the target SNR and if your line is stable this can give you an increase in sync speed.
The only possible problem could be if at some time you want to return to a BT line.

I am currently with Zen on a ADSLMax package via the BT IPStream network.

To move to a bundled service, no, you don't but for broadband-only, you do.

No risk of a Broadband Cease Charge from Zen? (I know you handle these things correctly but not all do. I always advise getting a MAC anyway, so the losing ISP is aware something may happen).

Switched to Uno SMPF (Pro 24 75GB - TTB) today and so far both upload and download speeds are excellent: sync 1022/13979, atten 20.5/36.5, sn margin 10/6; up throughput 800Kbps average (28MB video file to Vimeo, New York) down ~12Mbps (TBB Speed Test)

What line stats did you have before? (hopefully ADSL1 stats)

Previous stats for adsl1 (uno Home 25GB):
sync 448/8064 (interleaved), atten 20.5/31, sn margin down 12 (sorry don't have a recent record of up SNR) consistent down throughput of 6400Kbps.

Not a million miles away from mine on ADSL1 on Zen:-
(Down/up)
Sync 8128/448 (Fastpath)
Atten 33/20.5
SNRM 6/15 (downstream rises to 7 during day)
I'm hoping for 14mbit but might be tough, realistic target of 12mbit-13mbit once i can hopefully get on 6dB SNR margin as its 12dB default to start with.

I seem to have been given a 6dB down sn margin to start with, yet as I speak it's just dropped to 5.5. That may change over the next few days of course if too many errors start building up...
BTW. my throughput tests are not that accurate because I'm using Kaspersky IS 2012 but I'm probably getting between 11500Kbps and 12500Kbps from most sites.
If you get 14Mbps I may have to contact Matt (uno) LOL!

SN Margin is expected to vary by a few dB over 24 hours. Lower at night, higher in daylight. That's why the default setting for most ISPs is 6dB at sync-time, to cater for this.

Win7 is giving me an almost constant throughput download reading of 11,500Kbps. To achieve the same with XP I had to tweak the RWIN to 226300 and use a MTU of 1500. BTW using a TG585 v7 8.2.6.5 router.
Syncs and snr margins have remained the same since the switch to "up to 24Mbps" SMPF with no loss of connection.

Yes I think interleaving is on.
You may also find this interesting:

BTW router is plugged into a pressac filtered faceplate with one phone off the front and one phone extension (no ring wire) from the back.
