I'm thinking of joining Xilo Pro LLU broadband (my exchange has C&W LLU equipment), a few questions:
1) I understand a BT landline is a pre-requisite, but can this be with any BT Wholesale supplier (eg Post Office, IDNET, Directsave telecom, Primus etc) or does the landline have to be directly with BT themselves?
2) When i type in my tel number on Xilo's website, i get these options:
Product Download Upload1 Usage Cap Price
Pro 16 Home Up to 16Mb 1Mb Unmetered £14.99
Pro 16 Office Up to 16Mb 1Mb Unmetered £19.99
Pro 24 75GB Up to 24Mb 1Mb 75GB £21.99
Is 'Pro 24 75GB' also C&W based? Is it more expensive than pro 16 home/office due to being 'up to 24 mb' or is it a typo? However I read somewhere on these forums that the pro 16 packages are really 'up to 24 meg' even though they are re-sold to Xilo as ' up to 16 meg'? Could someone confirm this? (i live close to exchange - downstream atten is approx 20 db)
3) I understand Xilo offer static ip address on the pro packages but not fastpath. On the interleaved option, can they reduce this to the very lowest level? Could i expect pings of <30 ms being on interleaved? I use VOIP and gaming a lot so low ping times are an absolute must.
Thanks!
