Vivaciti support tickets?

How quick are they to follow these up? I understand they are/were moving officers - has that created a backlog? I filed ticket on Friday and I will admit I'm not the most patient person in the world when it comes to broadband issues - despite working in customer services myself!

then i had to contact entanet as they are 3nd line support for vivaciti

The last update on this ticket was from you saying to disregard the issue was resolved by replacing the router???

Sorry I may not have explained my problem correctly. I had two issues
a) low throughput and high ping - solved by replacing router. (my old one stopped holding sync shortly after)

b) low sync for line attenuation which is on going, this seems to be coupled with bursts of errors and some loss of sync. this got worse after a voice fault was fixed on the line (drop of another 1 meg) and it is this with which I am looking for assistance with.

A few years ago I had a voice fault, in fact a few neigbours did at the same time. It was due to an e-side cable being dodgy.

I was swapped to another e-side pair. It cured the fault but resulted in a loss of 700kbps sync . Nothing to be done.

Then that one got progressively worse and I started getting frequent spells of perpetual disconnections, only cureable by running the quiet line test, of all things. I didn't dare report it, for fear of what might result.

That was one of my reasons for going to FTTC. Phone can get crackly, but so what?

True - I can only dream of FTTC here - we have only just got ADSL2+. The voice engineer did make reference to a 'dodgy' cable due to for repair but did not elaborate. Said I was on a temporary line.
