ADSL24 80/20 Service - Do these speeds look right?

I recently joined ADSL24, about 3 weeks ago and checking on the BT wholesale checker it was reporting speeds of around 60MB down and 18MB upload.

My speeds on ADSL24's service are nowhere near this they are currently between 30-40MB down and 7-9 up.

I've logged this with daisywholesale, anyone got any ideas as to why there should be such a big difference to the wholesale checker and the speeds I'm seeing?

TBH I'm pretty disappointed so far....

It all depends on what your line is SYNCing at and what the BT IP profile is.

Please run a test at http://speedtester.bt.com (not the above 24Mb / Beta test, just the normal ADSL/FTTC speedtest) and post back results

Unbelievable complaining about 30-40MB down and 7-9 up. how times have changed.

So what is this lack of speed stopping you from doing? be honest and not just about the numbers.

Depends what you're using the service for really doesn't it? - I'm running a business and specifically selected a 80/20 service. Now if I was a home user I wouldn't be so bothered.....

Depends on size of business and terminals accessing bandwidth

thanks for the advice - I'll bear that in mind

I'm generally interested, is it slowing your business network down or are you going by, you are not getting full speed by what the speedtest is telling you?

Are you talking about an estimate, in particular this style?

Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 51.7Mbps and upstream line speed of 13.2Mbps.

It looks like you may be on 40/10, not 80/20.
