ADSL24/Coms is not reselling Enta

Just to allay the concerns of the many who see Enta in their tracerts. It is not resold Enta ISP which ADSL24 moved away from when Enta was in a right mess a few years ago.

A few times I've pointed out that the first hop after your router is to ADSL24/Coms themselves, and that I believe Enta Wholesale are being used for some routes to the wider net. We now have an in-depth explanation from Xilo/uno.

So why has performance suffered, just like it was on Enta?

Enta (ISP) problems were solved years ago, although they seem to be reducing 20CN capacity a bit prematurely at the moment. If ADSL24/Coms traffic is screwing up Enta's ISP network, the Entanet forum would be heaving with complaints. It isn't.

[TTB L2TP] > [Coms] > [Entanet] > exit to internet

If there is ineed congestion or throttling as others are saying then it would likely be within Coms network before it reached Entanet.

I agree except not necessarily about L2TP. I've no idea how it gets from the TT DSLAM to the Coms router .

Which does not bode well.

Depends how long it takes for their suppliers to increase the capacity. Coms certainly aren't going to let the customer base erode significantly without doing anything.

remember is internal hops that dont show on tracert's.

there can be congestion on VP's, backhaul etc. before peering even enters the equation.
