It's a MAC

[link to this post]

To those, especially in the ADSL24 > Coms thread; it's a 'MAC' and not a 'MAC code'. Similarly, it is a 'PIN' and not a 'PIN number'.

When you go out in the rain, do you wear a Mac raincoat? tongue?

It's just a MAC smile.

And only a pedant (or a bear) wears Wellington boots.

Card machines ask you to enter your PIN smile.

it's a 'MAC' and not a 'MAC code'.

Maybe that's why they have failed to supply me with a code on each of three separate occasions on which I have requested it.
In fact I have two accounts, have requested MAC's for both and all Coms do is ignore me.

Disgusting service Coms. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

In a way I agree, we have always referred to it as "MAC Key".

I've always remembered it to 5 decimal places since my schooldays. That probably puts me in a group of less than 1% of the population smile.

I realised straight after posting the -1 that card machines don't have a minus sign. So in the thread context -1 isn't a pi number. Out of context, as you will know, it is.
