Assuming your router is ping able it must be at your end. Tried rebooting router and doing a ping test through command prompt?

Oh and what gateway you on? Will end in .50-.55 and your router will tell you

If you are using the Buffalo, it is responding. (And not off-hand, mine is ... erm ... lost somewhere LOL).

I'm not saying, but be afraid. Be very afraid ....

LOL smile.

As has been said, I checked your live BQM link from earlier. Useful to have it in your sig, like I and a few others have. Especially for you at the moment. It's the easiest way of checking it yourself as well!

Dunno what would cause the issue?

Although ive learnt with technology - phone, pc, router - that things do sometimes go wrong without an explanation and its best not to try and find one laugh

It could be the packet loss the router was dealing with leading up to the solid red caused it deliberately or by some deep-seated bug to just stop responding to pings.

Steve said that his browsing was slow too, so wasnt just pings, it seems to was genuine packet loss even though i never experienced any on the same gateway

Ok update, browsing is back to normal at the moment, just trying a few torrents at the same time and hell yes the traffic management is in force.Email and Iplayer all running as they should be.

The thing with this traffic management is it would be nice to know from when it is on and off, it is just guess work at the moment!!

7am it kicks in (well the first step) did a test this morning.

6-7am - 1.4k
7am (on the dot) - 800K

Then I assume it steps down as the morning rolls on.
