Vivaciti Surfwise Noise Margin drop

I'm not complaining but:
A few weeks ago noticed the default Noise Margin has dropped to 3dB on my Vivaciti resold Opal LLU connection. Sync speeds went up >0.5Mbps as expected

Tried my backup modem/router and still 3dB
Is this just a quirk on my line or exchange or more widespread.

Your probably no longer on surfwise LLU as Vivaciti have dropped them. Your probably on a BT connection now via Entanet, which may account for the drop in noise margin.

Thanks - yes Speedtest BTwholesale recognises me as a customer and I've got an IP profile !
One of the attractions of Surfwaie was LLU and no profile.

Although Vivaciti did send me new log in details there was no mention of a change from Surfwise or LLU in the email, seem to remember bad experiences of Entanet when with ADSL24 a few yars ago.

The BT Wholesale DLM is hugely better now smile

They moved a lot of customers to Enta at around same time Enta passed on a lot of their direct customers on to Vivaciti maybe a deal going on. But it's only a guess

Downstream Noise Margin has now dropped to 1.6/1.7 dB with corresponding rise in sync rate for the last couple of weeks and through 3 or 4 resyncs. Upstream Noise Margin is now 6dB

Its stable so I'm not complaining but puzzled !
