Moving plus.net Phone/ADSL >> Uno Phone/Fibre

So I'm moving from plus.net to Uno Broadband.

What I'd like to do is move to my phoneline + ADSL2 (BTW) over to phoneline + Fibre+ (Uno Product over BTW)

1) What's the best way to do this?
2) I've suffered a shed load of congestion issues at peaktime with Plus Net, will this happen on Uno Fibre+?

I'm an ex Xilo customer so know how this company work (very well) but this move is confusing me.

Can anyone advise me?

For the first time ever, I have had to wait 2-3 days for an answer to a support ticket - normally get an answer within an hour. It's nothing that important, the usage stats seem to be borked (on fibre).

I just hope that Uno/Xilo has not grown too fast.

We've had *a lot* of tickets from those on TTB services regarding the recent TT news needing some reassurance.

You'll need to move the connection/FTTC to us first.

Once done, please get in touch and we can then do the phone line for you.

If the congestion is at the BT layer, yes it could but it'll be very easy to see if that is the case and we can get that resolved for you. It you migrate and the problems instantly go away, it would have been an issue with the old provider.

You're such a breathe of fresh air, answering two queries in one shot, compared to what I've been through, thanks, I'll migrate on pay day, and I seriously cannot wait.

As it's fibre, can I still use my old router or I do I have to buy a new VDSL one?

Sig is looking a bit out of date . But your Profile should end up nearly right .

What device do you have.

A VDSL modem is supplied as part of the installation.

If he is on a standard Plusnet installation he will have an ADSL2+ router that does not have an ethernet WAN port. So he'll need a "cable" router of some kind.

Though Plusnet have firmware to flash in on the (acceptable) 582n and presumably their latest (trash) offering to turn LAN4 into WAN.

Changed my sig Roberto but it doesn't seem to be changing. (now it has)

All my current router(s) are ADSL 2+ if one's supplied with install I'll use that,

I'll go ahead and order once payday comes around.

Thank you Uno - fibre is on and activated with no hassle, speedtests all over the shot but it's the first 10 days so waiting for everything to settle down.

Things got a bit prickly with the previous phone provider, threatening to cut the service, so had to raise a sudden phone order and yep (the man who never sleeps - Matt) and a mystery man on the telephone gave me loads of advice, came through for me and got it ordered within the hour.
