Community Fibre - London ISP

[link to this post]

Hi there,

I cannot find any chat about Community Fibre.
communityfibre.co.uk/

Anything I should be wary about?

They offer FTTP direct to the flat, not just to the building.
They do not offer VOIP directly, but hoping I can use A&A or someone - or does that become fiddly?

How much better is a Linksys Velop router vs a standard no-name ISP job?

Not used the velop devices.

On VoIP as complex or simple as you like, so 3rd party services are fine, some sell plug and play boxes you can plug into a router and others involve more setup.

On VoIP that i good to hear, as I know many businesses use, it was less clear on simple cheap solutions for occasional residential use.

A&A VOIP is good and cheap though you will need to set up a softphone or similar. And despite their dire warnings, it works happily over NAT.

good, as many fibre providers seem to operate CGNAT.

I was going to set it up with a real DECT phone, is that a problem?
