Quick question. The 'Option 3' FTTC package here
https://www.aquiss.net/unlimited-fttc-fibre-broadband/
67/16 Mb/s
£7.00 a month, for 3 months
£27.00 a month, thereafter
Excludes telephone line rental
12 month contract
Is that a SoGEA package, or does it have to 'hang' on top of a Third Party's phone line rental ?

AFAIK, you do not need to pay a third party for phone line rental.

Well, that's the $64k question. I don't see the magic term' SoGEA' used anywhere on their website, so I'm not sure ?

I was under the same question but when i signed up, I got a quick email from Martin to say who will provide my telephone line, I did mention that i though it was for SoGEA but apparently they dont do it, Also remember that you had to use your own VDSL2 broadband router but clearly states this.
EDIT: just look on my emails and i tired signing up in January just gone.
IDNet did it for about the same price for SoGEA that was my next move but Zen sorted out my connection in the end so didn't bother.

The options I see on that page state "Excludes telephone line rental" - I think you'll find you would need to pay someone line rental. The ones that include phone line rental are £15 more which is about right for the line rental component.

99.9% certain, looking at the page, that you would need to pay a 3rd party for line rental - the £15 difference between the options with/without phone point to this being the case.

Doesn't sound like SOGEA, knowing the direction everything is going in if it isn't then I wouldn't sign up personally.

Aquiss don't sell SOGEA so it will definitely require line rental from another provider.

UnchainedISP do selling SoGEA for FTTC now (based on BTw backhaul)

My bad, I'm sure I remembered reading a post by Martin saying that a phone line wasn't needed. It must be old age!

Just to confirm for clarity, we are presently not offering SoGEA.
SoGEA is in our development cycle for a Q3 2022 launch.

That was for FTTP services. We dropped the line element really early doors with the product launch.
